“Around 10 years ago, my wife and I made a decision to extend our 4 bedroom home in Wheelers Hill to provide accommodation for my ageing mother-in-law.

We also added a large sunny family room, retained a useful sized formal lounge/dining room, and still had space for another bedroom and study (which we used as 2 home offices). Both homes have ducted heating, and air-conditioning throughout.

There were a couple of compromises, however. There was no room for undercover parking or a garage, although the driveway provides off street parking for two cars.
