A GIGANTIC SNOW DOME IS COMING TO MONASH CAROLS!
The Monash Carols by Candlelight will be back again on 9 December 2018 at the picturesque Jells Park, Wheelers Hill! There is no doubt this annual celebration will put a big smile to our faces with fun-filled activities for all ages and delight our hearts with classic Christmas carols throughout the evening!
“This year is the 30th year of this iconic Christmas tradition in the City of Monash community. We are expecting the best and the biggest festivity so far to celebrate this significant milestone with over 25,000 guests expected to attend,” said Thomas Som, Director of First National Waverley City.
Mr Som said, “We are proud to be the sponsor of the Monash Carols once again. This year, we want to invite all the kids (and kids at heart!) to stop by and have lots of fun taking photos or videos in our gigantic snow dome attraction set up next to our face painting booth.”
Both adults and children are welcome to enter into the 3m high & 4.5m diameter gigantic snow dome for fun, laughter and play around in the snowy madness. Strike a pose or capture priceless and memorable photos and videos to share with friends and families for wining fabulous gifts.
“The carols is a big part of our community. It’s an event that my big family and I always look forward to at the end of each year. About 30 of us get together and we have a picnic. It’s a great time for sure,” said Lucy Perez, a Wheelers Hill local resident who has been coming to the carols since moving into the area in 2000.
The event will kick off at 4pm with the Kids Tinsel Town which includes free rides and activities for children and an opportunity for a photo with Santa. The wonderful carols from a host of famous performers start at 8pm and a spectacular fireworks finale at around 10pm.
