1. Glen Waverley Chinese New Year

Highlights: Cultural Corner for children's activities will be located in the library forecourt. Amusement rides will be located in the Coleman Parade carpark.

Highlights: 16 days of vibrant festivities all around the Melbourne CBD

3. Springvale Chinese New Year

Highlights: Celebrating the fusion of Asian culture and traditions with the multicultural landscape of Greater Dandenong, more than 70 market stalls will be on display, as well as a dazzling entertainment program that includes traditional lion dancing, firecracker display, games, rides, martial arts, live band, dancing and a wide range of delicious Asian cuisines.

4. Box Hill Chinese New Year

5. Dandenong Market Chinese New Year

Highlights: Long day celebration of arts and culture with traditional food and schedule of entertainment

6. Footscray Chinese New Year

Highlights: The festival attracts thousands annually with a festival parade, cultural dances, musical performances, food stalls and carnival rides.

7. Sandown Park Chinese Festival

Highlights: Fireworks at 9:30pm on Sunday, 14 February 2016

Date: Saturday & Sunday, 13 & 14 February 2016

Time: 10am – 11pm

Location: Sandown Racecourse

Cost: Tickets are priced $5 per person (children under 12 years receive FREE entry).


8. Flemington Chinese New Year

Highlights: All are welcome to come along and enjoy the many festivities, including great live entertainment, cultural exhibits, bustling stalls, amusement rides and games, dragon dances, children's activities, and spectacular fireworks!

Date: Saturday & Sunday, 16 & 17 February 2016

Time: 12pm – 1pm on 16 February & 10am – 11pm 17 February

Location: Melbourne Showgrounds, Flemington

Cost: Tickets are priced $6 per person (children under 10 years receive FREE entry). Tickets will be available at the gate (cash only).


9. Crown Casino

Highlights: Celebrate Lunar New Year at Crown and welcome in 2016 – the Year of the Fire Monkey! This celebration includes exciting events all month long:
